The road to discipleship in our Catholic tradition is challenging! One way to stay focused is with the support of fellow believers in small Christian community. For the past few years, St. Joseph’s Church has offered the ChristLife program as a way to grow in faith with a small group. Many parishioners from both of our communities have completed the three ChristLife courses and have found it enriching. This year we are taking a break from ChristLife to offer something new in its place. In a similar format to ChristLife we invite you to explore what it means to “Love and Honor Your Neighbor” through the lenses of Catholic Social Teaching and the writing of Pope Francis.
We will meet via Zoom on 13 Monday evenings between October and May, wrapping up with a final retreat on Pentecost weekend, Saturday, June 4. We hope to plan a few other in-person Saturday retreat experiences or service opportunities along the way; these will be planned as Covid restrictions allow.
The weekly format:
- large group gathering on Zoom for introductions by Mike Nesbitt
- worship and praise by Nancy Veronesi and Susan Gividen
- brief video teachings by Fr. Jim, Deacon Duncan and Cathy Kamp
- facilitated small group breakout discussions and prayer
- participant guides will be provided
- tech assistance available thanks to Chuck Canham and Jeanne Mooney
Please pray for all who are participating that it will be a transforming experience!
