Thank you for your commitment to our sister parishes and concern for the needs in our community. When planning an event that will raise funds or collect new or used items in the parish environment, we ask you to consider:
- Is this event mission-driven?
- Does it encourage parishioner engagement and outreach?
- Does it demonstrate collaborative efforts between our sister parishes and ministries?
- Does the event have the support and agreement of its beneficiary organization/charity?
- Does the beneficiary represent Catholic/family values?
Other considerations
- Events may not involve for-profit marketing
- Events cannot be scheduled that overlap or come too close to major parish initiatives (ie CMA)
- We schedule one fundraiser per parish max in a given weekend and avoid too many in one month
- Most events/collections will be booked for 1 weekend (2 max) and promoted for 2 weeks in the bulletin and other communications with text and graphics provided by the organizer; major collections like back-to-school and Christmas will be promoted for 3 – 4 weeks; CMA will be a priority throughout the Fall
